We went to watch The Greatest Showman which certainly was the greatest movie for the children to watch. They enjoyed singing along with the songs and eating their munch box. A GREAT big thank you to the Cineworld staff for accommodating us and giving children their yummy treats. This would have not been possible again without Cash for Kids giving our children opportunity to enjoy their Summer holidays.
A great day for CCG CROOKSTON COMMUNITY GROUP with our partners Waitrose. Together we are bringing communities together with donations of fresh food and a big cheque for our group. Thank you on behalf of all of the children and adults that have benefited. Thank you form the (CCG) family.

Crookston Community Group foodshare ran out of food at Dunterlie Community Centre today which was not surprising as foodbank use is at its highest in 12 years. Service users at our offices in Beltrees road are very worried about the roll out of Universal Credit in the next few months throughout Glasgow, "I think there's going to be a tsunami of people needing help". -a comment made by one of our volunteers.
CCG in partnership with COOK & INDI's World Buffet gave nearly 30 children a free lunch, loads of fruits, curries, pizzas and we have Cash for Kids to thank for this. "I feel like a king" - said one of the children who has never been to a restaurant as the family has been struggling for a long time. Our volunteers had a great time enjoying the best of service from staff who made our experience wonderful.
By working/volunteering at CCG, you can change your world. Feeding children that otherwise would struggle to eat healthy meals in the school holidays. My eyes was wide shut until Cash for Kids and Volunteer Action Funds gifted our group funds to make our dream come true. Today we had over 50 children from our local community, sharing lentil soup, fish, egg mayonaise / tuna & sweetcorn / cheese & tomato on healthy brown bread.
