Food Bank As It Is(21/November)
We are excited to announce that this play is coming to Scotland later this month. It is at the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 21 November and we have managed to secure the Mitchell Theatre on Thursday 22 November to bring it through to Glasgow. Tickets are £5. As It Is Theatre have operated on a “pay as you feel” basis in the past so there will be a top up bucket collection on the night and donations will also be accepted. A local professional cast has been recruited. This is not a fund raising event for us; nor will it cost us. However we are convinced that it is an important play and worth seeing for anyone who cares about food insecurity- and essential for anyone who doesn’t care! This is a powerful play which will open eyes and hopefully hearts to the harsh realities of those forced to depend on foodbanks. The play will be followed by a Q & A and panel discussion with Tara Osman , author and former London foodbank manager, Dr Mary Anne MacLeod from a Menu for Change, and our Development Worker, Claire McCunnie.
