Plentyfull Foodshare this week thanks to Fairshare

Thanks the the amazing work fairshare do collecting surplus food we are able to save all of this food from going to landfill.
In 2019, an estimated 987,890 tonnes of food and drink in Scotland was wasted. That is Almost £2 billion worth of food
This is why organisations like Fairshare and project like Foodshare are so important.
With over 1 million people experiencing poverty and many walking the line. This massive surplus of food could be used to feed the people who are struggling to feed themselves, their families and their children.
