We have been running a pantry long before it was known as as a pantry or mini market. Formerly known as Foodshare, CCG Pantry runs on a Wednesday from 12.00 to 1.00pm on our premises at 56 Beltrees Road, G53 5TF.
Depending on stock availability, we distribute fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen items as well as meat and fish on a weekly basis. We ocassionally get mystery deliveries containing baby milk, halal food, nappies and toiletries.
Following Glasgow City Council's recommendation, you can get 10 items for £2.50 equating to £10-15 worth of shopping. You can buy more items if they are available e.g. 20 items for £5 and so on.
The Pantry is open to everyone and you do not need to meet any criteria to come along. We would ask that you bring sturdy bags with you.
Our food and other items comes from FareShare Glasgow and the West, which is a franchise of the national organisation FareShare UK. FareShare collects surplus food and redistributes it to community food organisations including pantries. This reduces waste and helps communities to buy affordable fresh food.
We look forward to welcoming you on Wednesday.
