Easter Eggstravaganza 2022!

CCG is delighted to share news about our hugely successful Easter Eggstravaganza that took place on Friday, 15 April at Bella-Rose Hall in Bellahouston Park. 140 children from the G51, G52 and G53 areas attended the Eggstravaganza. The children had a wonderful experience as you can see from the photos below.

We were supported in our efforts by Glasgow Life who provided equipment for use both inside and outside of the hall. We would like to thank Stephen McDermott and the staff of Glasgow Life who were very helpful.

A special mention should be made of the staff of Ross Hall Hospital. The staff donated 400 easter eggs and the children had a great time hunting for easter eggs. The extra eggs were given in food parcels for children living in the community that CCG serves. Caroline Crichton, Associate Director of Clinical Services, took the time out of her busy day to come to the Eggstravaganza. We were delighted to welcome her and want to thank her and all of the staff at Ross Hall Hospital for their donation. You all made a huge difference to the lives of the children that we support.

The children were well entertained for the afternoon. The magician, Mark Walbank, ensured that the children were left mesmerized and wanting more and more of his amazing tricks. DJ Sonia kept everyone on their toes by providing excellent music that suited all ages. Rocky from Platinum Rock Entertainment provided the photobooth that allowed the children to create memories of the wonderful day. S.J. and Terry provided a face painting, temporary tattoos and hair dos service that was well used and the children looked utterly amazing. The catering staff from Tiffin provided pizza and burgers to keep the children well fed for their busy afternoon of activities.

This event has been entirely funded by Cash for Kids and we would like to thank them for their continued support allowing us to fulfil our mission to provide happy memories to children.

The day was only made possible by the hard work and commitment of the amazing volunteers and amazing staff who prepared for the day and who worked on the day. We are looking forward to our next exciting adventure. We'll keep you posted.
