Crookston Community Group and ASDA Fight hunger and Create Change
ASDA and the Crookston Community Group are working to fight food wastage and food poverty. We do this by Working with a mutual partner of ours "Fairshare" and through these partnerships the CCG is able to pick up food that would be thrown into land fill and redistribute it back is to the communities of Glasgow. The Crookston Community group has been working With KFC for half a year now. We pick up excess food from KFC at the end of the night to stop it going to landfill and spread finger licking good food to our local communities in the process. Panda Chinese Cuisine is a wonderful company that was named the best Chinese restaurant in Scotland 2018 and here at the Crookston Community Group we couldn't agree more. We work with the Panda picking up left over food at the end of the day and re-distribute that food within the local communities. Crookston Community Group Now Tackle Energy Poverty
The Crookston Community Group is now working with Home Energy Scotland. Our goal is to help the people of our local communities make sure they can heat their homes. Food poverty isn't the only form of poverty on the increase, Energy poverty is also dramatically increasing. This is why we have teamed up with Home Energy Scotland to help tackle this rising issue. Home Energy Scotland is a government funded programme that's goal is to help people in Scotland create warmer homes,


CCG Gives The Children A World Buffet Style Lunch
The Kids holiday lunch club had 30 hungry kids today. The kids got a lovely selection of Macaroni and cheese along with fruit, salad and some breakfast cereal for tomorrow.
